2nd Meeting of the CSCAP Study Group on the Situation in Myanmar

CSCAP’s Myanmar Study Group held its second meeting in Chiang Mai on 12-13 May. The meeting was co-chaired by CSCAP Thailand and CSCAP Malaysia. Participants discussed recent developments in Myanmar, including the elections held by the military government at the end of 2025. It also discussed practical ways to deliver humanitarian support through neutral organisations and regional platforms like ASEAN, as well as a range of future governance structures.
